Home-Start provides weekly sessions engaging parents and children in structured play, offering a range of developmentally appropriate toys, play and craft opportunities, and tailoring the groups to cover individual needs in an inclusive way. The project enables children to contribute and to have their voices heard, as well as to learn social skills and to gain a sense of self belief. Furthermore, parents gain skills, confidence and a better understanding of their children’s needs through the group experience. £30,870.00 from BBC Children in Need funds the salary costs of a Family Group Co-ordinator.
