Asda launched the Tickled Pink campaign back in 1996 to raise money to help improve the lives of people with breast cancer, both now and in the future. Entering its 14th year, Asda's Tickled Pink campaign benefits two breast cancer charities - Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign and since it started, our work has raised over £21 million.

And they're off

And they're off! Follow the Pedal Power journey

Asda Chairman Andy Bond and his cycling colleagues set off from Land’s End on Monday to ride 1111 miles up the country to John O’Groats in aid of Tickled Pink.

They are documenting their journey as they go, and you can follow the ride on the Pedal Power interactive map. This will be updated with photos, videos and stories throughout each day. You can help give the team a lift by leaving a message of support.

The challenge is a tough one, and whilst all the team were eager to get started, they are finding the riding hard going. Jim Viggars, in a last minute change of plan, turned up at Land’s End on a tandem along with his good friend Elywn Pugh. Jim had damaged some ligaments after an accident on a warm-up coast-to-coast cycle ride a fortnight ago, and, rather than pull out of the challenge, he enlisted Elywn’s help.

Jim and Elwyn won’t be stopping off at as many Asda locations as the other riders, but they’ll still be doing their utmost to reach John O’Groats on 5 August and raise as much money as they can for Tickled Pink.
