Entering its 16th year, Asda’s Tickled Pink campaign benefits two breast cancer charities – Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign. Since it started, our work has raised over £29 million.

Snober - Derby

You have helped us support people like Snober, 68, from Derby. Snober has been a peer-to-peer support worker for Breast Cancer Care since her diagnosis 12 years ago. She also gives breast awareness workshops in her local community and was featured in Breast Cancer Care’s Moving Forward pack; an initiative funded by Asda.

She said: “The breast awareness workshops are very interactive, they are very rewarding for me and hopefully are very informative for the women there too. With the peer-to peer support, I am always supporting someone emotionally and I know they are very grateful to have that support. The Moving Forward pack is, I think, very empowering. When you are faced with a life threatening illness like breast cancer, to is best to have as much information as possible; to know exactly what is going on in your body, not just with treatment but also everything on the periphery, such as lymphodema. It is absolutely brilliant that Breast Cancer Care provides this resource.”

Colleagues across the East Midlands have helped us to fund several services throughout the region including our Headstrong service and a Younger Women’s Forum in locations including Leicester and Chesterfield.
