We believe in supporting the local causes our colleagues get behind, helping to make a difference to your local community. For us, sharing their passion is the ideal way to give something back to the communities that support us. That is why we set up the Asda Foundation, which through a range of projects supports good causes across the UK.

Northern View Allotment Association

Sutton-in-Ashfield

The community now has an area where schools can grow their own fruit and vegetables. With wheelchair access, the older residents will be able to help with the children. The Foundation’s £5,000 donation will fund the essential items and equipment together with the seating areas.

BMX Track

Sin Fin

This track is being supported by Sinfin Neighbourhood team, NHS Derby City – Given to Echo Youth Group, Derby Homes and the Asda Foundation. The travk will support the whole community, getting young people involved in sport and taking them off the streets. The children will have the opportunity to be trained to use the track properly and will be manned so this will be a safe environment for the community.

Loros Hospice

Lutterworth

The hospice is currently fundraising for the new single room extension which will benefit over 710 hospice in-patients each year. The Asda Foundation has donated £25,000 to fund one of the rooms, which will be named after the Asda Foundation.

Street Pastors

Long Eaton

Street Pastors provide a visible presence on the streets of Long Eaton who are improving community safety by working with and forging friendships with the congregating youth to reach understandings, in order to reduce the intimidation impact and improve the quality of life in the town for all. This is an expanding project and the funding will provide much needed provisions.
