Asda launched the Tickled Pink campaign back in 1996 to raise money to help improve the lives of people with breast cancer, both now and in the future. Entering its 14th year, Asda's Tickled Pink campaign benefits two breast cancer charities - Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign and since it started, our work has raised over £21 million.


Ask the nurse

Sometimes it is difficult to talk to someone in person about your breast cancer and breast health concerns, which is why Breast Cancer Care has set up a dedicated email service to answer questions in confidence. Anyone affected by breast cancer can email any question – big or small – and can expect a prompt reply from one of their specialist nurses. This service is available to anyone in the UK.

Breast Cancer Care’s website provides support and information to anyone affected by breast cancer or breast health concerns. Information on health matters can sometimes be confusing and full of medical jargon, so they always keep their information clear comprehensive and up to date.

If someone if feeling anxious it can often help to exchange information with someone else who has been there. That’s why Breast Cancer Care has created friendly chat forums for those affected by breast cancer to exchange information and connect with people who share similar experiences. The forums provide a discussion space 24 hours a day and are a vital support for people affected by breast cancer.

Information leaflets

Breast Cancer Care’s publications aim to provide information about diagnosis, treatment and management of breast cancer and benign conditions. They provide information about breast health and breast awareness for people who may have concerns and they help people better understand the physical and emotional impact of breast cancer.


One to one support service

Sometimes it helps to talk to someone who has been in the same situation. Breast Cancer Care’s one-to-one support telephone services aim to quickly put people affected by breast cancer in touch with one of their fully trained volunteer supporters who have been through similar experiences. This can be on a regular basis, is in total confidence and is free.


Helpline

Breast Cancer Care’s free and confidential helpline is run by trained staff and is open for calls from 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 2pm on Saturdays. Tel 0808 8006000.
