Younger women's forums

Younger women's forums - East Midlands

Services available in Nottingham.

Younger Women’s Forums are two–day residential weekends for women from across the UK to meet and share their experiences of breast cancer.

Breast Cancer Care knows that having breast cancer when you are young can be traumatic and isolating. Younger women with a diagnosis of breast cancer may not know anyone else whose lifestyle has changed as much as their own. Younger women with breast cancer often tell us that the information they receive is too general and doesn’t recognise issues particular to them. These are just some of the reasons why Breast Cancer Care has created these forums as welcoming spaces for younger women affected by breast cancer.

Lingeries evenings

Lingerie evenings - East Midlands

Services available in Chesterfield.

Lingerie evenings provide free, practical support and advice on bras and lingerie following breast surgery.

Breast Cancer Care understands that searching for suitable bras and lingerie after breast surgery can be a frustrating and difficult experience. Lingerie evenings help to take the stress out of shopping for such items, providing tips and guidance on what works well for each individual and where the best garments can be found. By sharing experiences and chatting through concerns and feelings about body image and sexuality following surgery, these sessions can increase self-esteem and help build confidence.
