Asda launched the Tickled Pink campaign back in 1996 to raise money to help improve the lives of people with breast cancer, both now and in the future. Entering its 14th year, Asda's Tickled Pink campaign benefits two breast cancer charities - Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Campaign and since it started, our work has raised over £21 million.


Headstrong workshop

HeadStrong is a free service offering information and support to people experiencing hair loss due to cancer treatment.

Hair loss can affect confidence and cause many people to feel insecure about the way they look. HeadStrong not only helps to increase self-esteem, it also teaches practical techniques and information that is needed when coping with hair loss. HeadStrong is free of charge for anyone who has lost, or is likely to lose, their hair as a result of cancer treatment. Every attendee receives a free headscarf at their first appointment.


Secondary breast cancer support

Living with Secondary Breast Cancer - South East

Services available in London.

Living with Secondary Breast Cancer is a free course for people who have been diagnosed with secondary breast cancer.

A diagnosis of secondary breast cancer means that breast cancer cells have travelled to another part of the body, such as the liver, lungs or bones. It is not curable but can be controlled, in some cases for years.

Sessions cover a range of subjects including an overview of treatments for people living with secondary breast cancer, fatigue, stress and relaxation. The course also offers the opportunity to talk and share experiences with others and provides the chance to find out about Breast Cancer Care’s services and other local services.


Information sessions

Information sessions - South East

Sessions available in St Albans, Southend, Hastings and London.

Information Sessions are informal talks on specific topics relating to breast cancer.

They are free and delivered by a specialist in the subject area. Topics covered can include anything from updates on treatments, to dealing with fatigue or learning more about diet and exercise. The sessions focus on topics that have been requested or are currently topical. These sessions are free for anyone affected by breast cancer, including friends and family.


Lingeries evenings

Lingerie evenings - South East

Services available in St Albans.

Lingerie evenings provide free, practical support and advice on bras and lingerie following breast surgery.

Breast Cancer Care understands that searching for suitable bras and lingerie after breast surgery can be a frustrating and difficult experience. Lingerie evenings help to take the stress out of shopping for such items, providing tips and guidance on what works well for each individual and where the best garments can be found. By sharing experiences and chatting through concerns and feelings about body image and sexuality following surgery, these sessions can increase self-esteem and help build confidence.


Prosthesis fitting service

Free breast prosthesis fitting service - South East

Services available in London.

We understand that it can take people with a diagnosis of breast cancer some time to become comfortable with the loss and change to their bodies after surgery.

Our prosthesis fitting service can help them choose the right prosthesis and our fitter will also talk through any emotional or practical concerns. They will also take into account lifestyle, health and personal preferences to help select a prosthesis each individual is happy, confident and comfortable with.
