Tommy’s Let’s Get Baby Friendly Awards 2010
Formerly known as Tommy’s Parent Friendly Awards, Tommy’s [Let’s Get Baby Friendly] Awards are voted for every year by you, the public.
They reward organisations who go the extra mile to alleviate the daily pressures of life with a young family, or family–to–be. Asda was voted Best Supermarket in 2008 in Tommy’s Awards.

Asda’s award winning initiatives for parents
At Asda, we believe that it is important to make the shopping experience as easy and pleasurable as possible for families and parents-to-be. We have introduced key initiatives to do this:
- We became the first supermarket to fine drivers who misuse parent and child parking bays. This has resulted in a 60% increase in spaces available for those mums and dads who really need them
- We offer baby changing facilities with free nappies
- We provide free baby food in all ASDA cafes and a baby-food heating service (when you spend more than £1)
- A whole fleet of trolleys for babies and toddlers
